Men
Our Spring '09 range for men falls neatly into the trends that reflect classic menswear with lots of relaxed elements translated through style, comfort and mood.
The colours are balanced and harmonious for a more transitional and confident vibe, with a clean palette of neutrals injecting a preppy, minimal feel. Blue shows up as the key colour of the season, with different shades running though the entire range. Sharply cosmetic colours are paired down with tonal browns and sophisticated neutrals, while monochromes provide a more youthful edge.
There is plenty of blurring between the smart contemporary look and the rock theme. Traditional tailoring with sporty styling is what defines our leisurely smart casual collection: light-weight nylon jackets that look fresh in bright hues; easy wear tees; checked shirts that can be layered over tees; slouchy chinos in crumpled, washed cotton; and knitwear in classic shapes, decorated with embroidery, studs, and distorted flock effects.
If you're thinking denims, these have a new take with interesting vintage details. Upgraded fabrics, stone washes, hints of dirt and stain marks cue a smartly diluted high street look. Detail is key: right whiskers, fray marks, rips and washes give the vintage denim the best value for its competitive price.
Interesting fabric choices & fresh colours is a key update for knitwear of various weights from fitted t-shirts to vintage-wash tees with more directional options than usual. Throw in some style and add some fun with bold bright's and subtle tones for a look that is not too loud, still delightfully trendy.

Women
Global Boho
This theme pays homage to the inherent wanderlust in each of us. A 70's revival story where a multitude of cultures, colors and patterns interplay to give rise to a new unique global identity.
Colors: an earthy palette is contrasted with bold and eye catching colors.
Fabrics: the sheen of satins contrast against the matte textures of georgettes and crinkled chiffons. For knitwear, think supple and smooth viscose jerseys.
Print and Pattern: Global prints rule. Think paisley prints, tie-n-dye effects, ikat prints and weaves and geometrics in striking colours.
Shapes: Think floaty dresses, sheer blouses and tunics. The 70's revival finds a voice in flared denims and peasant tops.
Flower Power
This spring, flowers are everywhere! In a nod to the extremely feminine and romantic twist to fashion this season, floral prints combine with soft silhouettes to capture the fresh and ethereal spirit of spring.
Colours: A soft palette of ivory, blush pinks and soft neutrals are punctuated with tulip yellows, chrysanthemum fuchsias and poppy reds.
Fabrics: Think fluid satins, viscose spandex jerseys and crinkled chiffons for a floaty and dreamy feel. These are also mixed with lace and broderie anglaise for a romantic vibe.
Print and Pattern: Think florals of all scales, from oversized to ditsy. The key prints and motifs to look out for are roses, daisies and tulips. Another offshoot of this trend is nature-inspired prints where butterflies are aflutter.
Shapes: Victoriana-inspired looks rule! Think romantic and sheer blouses with lace and ruffle detail. Pussy bow blouses continue to be important. On the younger side of the spectrum, think frou-frou with ruffled ra-ra skirts in floaty georgettes to more ladylike dresses in delectable prints.
Nautical
Nautical looks are a perennial favorite every spring, but this season takes the look a notch further through grown-up resort styling. Think more St. Barts than St. Tropez, more sophisticated dressing than laidback cool.
Colours: A classic palette of Red, White and Navy is key, but also look out for offbeat and unexpected combinations of Marine blue and Canary yellow. Also throw in a bit of silver shine used through nautical trims and fastenings.
Fabrics: Fabrics are crisp and clean, with stretch twills, crisp poplins and clean linens being the fabric of choice. In knitwear think compacted jerseys, slub jerseys and lightweight sweater knits.
Print and Pattern: Think conversational prints and retro geometric motifs in a classic nautical palette. For grown-up sophistication, look towards bi-coloured florals in red and navy and clean white grounds. Horizontal stripes of varying widths add a modern and playful edge to this story.
Shapes: Preppy Chic! The key shapes include smart, single-buttoned jackets, worn with knee skimming A-line skirts and wide-legged trousers. For a younger feel, look for knitwear tunics with nautical hardware, bandeau style tops and V-neck tees in playful stripes. Team these with skinny and kick flare denims in indigo and white for instant cool.
Tribal Glam
Tribal looks are so hot this spring! Look to Africa for inspiration for this safari-inspired story, and unleash your wild side!
Colours: A classic palette of earthy browns and mochas are set up against burnt oranges and deep reds. Gold and bronzed metallics also add the 'glam factor'.
Fabrics: The fabric mix is diverse and varied. On the one hand, we have the more structured fabrics such as linen cottons, stretch sateens and cotton satins, and on the other hand, we also see more lightweight fabrics such as crinkled chiffons and poly-georgettes. In knitwear, think burnouts, viscose and slub jerseys. Woven blouses in structured dobbies are also a key for this theme.
Print and Pattern: Animal prints are a key for this story, with leopard and zebra prints emerging as clear favourites. Also, look at more geometric and abstracted tribal prints in earthy combinations.
Shapes: Safari-inspired pieces are a key to this story. Casual linen jackets are teamed with regular and wide-legged linen trousers. Skirt lengths range from knee-length A-line skirts in cotton satins, to floor-sweeping skirts in free-flowing georgettes and crepes. Kaftan shapes also lend credence to the earth mother look and feel.
